We prefer using Google Meet to conduct our lessons, instead of Skype and Appear. Though all 3 are effective, of late, many students and teachers have experienced problems when using Skype like, call disruption, poor video or call quality, issues with screen sharing. Google Meet takes care of all these and provides seamless streaming during sessions. Finally, all 3 can be easily accessed on a computer or mobile device, by downloading their respective apps.
It is possible to take lessons from an Android or IOS mobile phone or tablet. Simply download the apps for Google Meet, Skype and Appear on your device.
If you have quality equipment with speakers and a microphone you don't need a headset. But we do recommend you to use headphone for better audio experience.
If you are unable to connect or your lesson is disrupted due to internet connectivity issues, please inform the teacher via e-mail.
If the teacher has connectivity issues from his/her end and your lesson did not take place at all or was disrupted, we request you to e-mail our customer service on this email address: contact@albert-learning.com.
Students can install MP3 recorder for Skype to record and save their lessons. However, students need to take permission from the teacher before recording a lesson. Finally, using the lessons for commercial use like sales/promotion/advertising/sourcing to competitors is strictly prohibited under Albert Learning's copyright policy and guidelines.
Yes, you may take lessons with your video off.
You can register and subscribe by clicking on the button 'Sign Up' and then 'Subscribe' respectively. You'll be required to fill out your personal information on the profile page. Although, in order to reserve a lesson other than a free lesson, you will have to pay for the subscription.
Subscription is for a single user, however, it is possible to add up to 4 users to a primary account at EUR 20.00/ month per additional user. Subscription of additional user will be dependent on the main account. There is a special offer for additional users on 'Priority Lessons Pack'. Please refer to our pricing section for more information.
If the primary account's subscription has expired/terminated/unsubscribed then additional users subscription will also be deactivated. However, for additional users' to utilise their subscription, the primary user will have to subscribe again. E.g. Nancy is the primary account holder who subscribes on 9th June so her renewal date is 9th July. However, if she adds another user Mark to her account on 19th June then Mark's renewal date will be 19th July respectively. However, Nancy will have to renew her subscription so that Mark can continue to book lessons.
The student can unsubscribe by clicking the 'Unsubscribe' option after logging in to his/her account.Student will have to unsubscribe 24 hours before his/her renewal date.
Students who have a monthly subscription can unsubscribe any time before 24 hours of the renewal date. E.g. If your monthly subscription start date is 11th June, your renewal date will be 11th July. So you will have to unsubscribe 24 hours before i.e. on 10th July.
Yes, but we recommend you to continue your subscription without booking any lessons for that month. With this your Monthly Average Balance may increase, with which you might be able to book more lessons next month. This won't work if your average spend per lesson is too low.
Monthly Average Balance is an average spend per lesson which you need to maintain to continue taking lessons. Students having high average balance will be able to book more lessons than students who have a low average balance.

There is no restriction on booking different languages or course types during your subscription. However, we advise you to complete one course/ language at a time for easier and faster learning.
Our courses are conducted via video conference with teachers. We offer Individual, Group and Shared lessons. All our courses are live and NOT pre-recorded.
We offer various courses like General courses, Structured Programme, Private Lessons and Group Lessons which help you improve various skills like reading, writing, speaking, listening.
A lesson can be booked only after paying for your subscription. Once subscribed, you can book a language lesson at least 20 minutes before a lesson's start time.
At Albert Learning each lesson is conducted by teachers for 30 minutes. The course topics combine grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening exercises which are conducted live by teachers.
For regular subscribers, all the lessons will be taken in a group. This group will have maximum 3 students and a trainer. However, if you wish to take private lesson, you can book via 'Fast Booking' or 'Priority Private Lesson' pack.
If you are the only student in the group it will continue as a private lesson.
It is possible to cancel a lesson 1 hour before the lesson time. Please note, for a lesson booked with 'Fast Booking', it should be cancelled 6 hours before start time. For more information please refer 'Article 18' of our Terms & Conditions.
It is a 30-minute online private free lesson with a teacher. No subscription/card details are required for this Free lesson.
You will have to click the 'Free lesson' option on the Home page (www.albert-learning.com). User can also choose a convenient date and time. You do not need to pay or provide credit card details for the free lesson.
You can plan and book 2 lessons at a time. However, if you want to book more than 2 lessons, kindly subscribe to 'Priority Private Lesson' pack or purchase 'Fast-Booking' pack.
With the 'Fast Booking' option you can book a number of lessons in advance. You can also, purchase the 'Priority Private Lesson' pack which gives you options to plan your lessons upto 21 days in advance.
You are allowed to book lessons 20 minutes prior to a lesson start time.
You can skip the lesson by clicking on 'Exercise' button. This will redirect you to the exercise for that lesson. Scoring 75 points or more in this exercise is mandatory to skip that lesson and book the next one.
Although you can book multiple lessons, bookings are always governed by Fair Use Policy. This is done in order to keep a check on abuse of our unlimited lessons offer. For more information refer our Terms & Conditions.
It is not possible to take a lesson with two students sharing the same machine, however, you can book group lessons, or share your lesson, with fellow students of Albert Learning if you prefer.
If you are absent for any reason, you will not be permitted to take that lesson. Further, you will not be able to book another lesson for the next 48 hours from the time of the lesson/s missed.
In this case, your Monthly Average Balance may increase, which will help you in booking more lessons in your next subscription month.
Unlimited lessons are all group lessons. 'Joining' group lessons is unlimited.
The teachers at Albert Learning are highly qualified and experts in the field of teaching languages. We have trained them to make lessons interactive for the best results.
The teacher's schedule can be viewed on our website, so it is easy for you choose a teacher when booking a lesson.
Many of our teachers are fluent in more than one language.
If you opt via 'Fast Booking' or 'Priority lesson Pack', and you choose 'General English Course', you can request the teacher to change the topic. This rule does not apply for Structured or 500 Words Programmes.
We accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express. Subscription payments for countries within the European Union, are accepted via credit card only. For countries outside EU, we do accept other modes of payment.
Yes, you will get a certificate after finishing the level.
Once you have finished the level, you can mail us at: contact@albert-learning.com. Our team will check your progress and then mail you the certificate.
Priority Private Lesson' pack is our newly launched stand alone package. Students can book private lessons for all course types without any restrictions and are also exempted from 'Fair Usage policy' and 'Absence Policy'. This package also introduces the new 'Rollover Policy'. For more information refer our Terms and Conditions.
This policy is applicable only for 'Priority Private Lesson' pack. Once the package validity is expired and if students have unused lessons in their account, the balance lessons can be rolled over ONLY if the student purchases another 'Priority Private Lesson' pack OR pays for monthly or yearly subscription.
No, you can not. However, you have to purchase any of the 'Priority private Lessons' pack or pay monthly/yearly subscription.
In this case, you can buy another Priority Lesson Pack or you can pay for monthly or yearly subscription.
The additional one time monthly fee will be applicable for adding an extra user. Refer to the 'Subscription and Option' section in your Dashboard.
The remaining rollover lessons will be valid only if another package is purchased within the period of 3,6,9 or 12 months depending on your pack from the last day of your current pack. Eg. If you buy 3 months validity pack, for using your remaining rollover lessons, you need to buy another pack within the next three months from the last day of your current pack.
